What were you doing before taking on study at aifc (eg, what line of work/study?)?
I was working full time as a public accountant in my own business – and I’m still doing that.
Why did you decide to study Counselling?
I’ve been working in the accounting industry for 28 years and over that time I’ve encountered many people who’ve shared their personal struggles and I wanted to enhance my skills to be able to guide them in the right direction.
What made you choose to study at aifc?
I’d heard aifc’s ads on my local radio station and the topics of study sounded really interesting and just what I was looking for.
What would you like to do when you graduate?
I’ll probably continue doing what I’m doing right now in my business and Church ministry but I’m open to changing direction in future.
What do you like about the course so far?
The course is brilliant. Delving into the Christian aspect of counselling is the best part.
How is study fitting into your lifestyle?
I’m still working full time and it does mean planning my time better to accommodate study but I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
Have you thought about becoming a qualified counsellor? It’s a great opportunity to learn how you can extend God's love and grace to the hurting out in the community.
