Student Testimonial of Patricia Lewis
I am so glad that I chose aifc to complete my Counselling qualifications. After 3 years of full-time studies, I graduated in November 2017 with a Graduate Diploma of Counselling & Spiritual Psychotherapy.
I feel that aifc has given me a solid foundation coupled with the opportunity to actually engage in practical work with clients very early on in my course of studies.
When I attend professional development workshops with colleagues who trained at other colleges, I can see how having trained at aifc gives me the edge in terms of the practical counselling experience acquired while still a student. It is interesting to note that I compare favourably even against people who have completed a Masters but have had little if any hands-on experience with clients.
Apart from receiving sound teaching and the chance to practice counselling skills during training with external clients, another advantage of studying at aifc is the sense of being part of a tight-knit community. Seminar weekends and workshops give students and faculty members the opportunity to mingle, share meals together, get to know each other, give and receive support in a way that is quite unique.
If you are considering becoming a counsellor, I encourage you to come and join aifc. - Patricia Lewis Share on XStudy the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling at aifc.
